Well guys i got the car back today, after having a new cam put in, with springs collets, retainers, lifters, and a Vernier gear.
The idle is loverly, but of a lump, but not far off Stock .
Its a regrind, but the shims where no probs.
All ive gotta do now is have a fiddle with the Idle, ignition timing, and put her on the Dyno.
You are lucky, mine went worse when I put my cam in! Had 90 rwk when I started which is actually stock and come out with 125 rwk. This is from dialling in the cam - not much power gain here but optimized power curve, new fuel filter cause my old one was clogged - 5 rwk!! hehe and advancing the ignition timing - 30 rwkw. Timing was out quite a bit!

Severly ported and polished EB 4.0L head, shimmed valve springs - compression ratio (9.5:1 +). Making 145rwkw!!
The drivability is good, you can feel it come on about 3500, but its still very strong below that.
I havnt disconected the battery yet, and ive got to reset the idle speed.
Must be the day for cams, I just installed a wade 1004 in my car, pulls really well from about 3000, but I have to pull it all apart tomorrow and fit the shims that I forgot to install....dammit!
I have another Big cam here, that i may chuch in for a test, once ive sorted this one out.
I would have tried it earlier but the springs needed changing.
