Is the belt broken? If not, by hand turn the engine over until you line up the crank timing mark. Making sure that no. 1 is on the compression stroke. Remove the timing cover. Looen the belt tensioner bolt and swing the tensioner away from the belt. Tighten the bolt. Remove the old belt and replace with neww one. Release the tensioner and tighten the bolt. Turn the engine over two full turn's by hand and verify that your timing mark's are still in alignment. If they are, replace the cover and what other belt's and accesorie's, then start the engine.
If the belt is broken, all the above is the same with the exception , after aligning the crank mark and removing the cover, you must also align the cam mark. There is a small hole in the cam gear with what appear's to be an arrow in it. This line's up with a mark cast in the head. To find it you must do some cleaning. After lining up the mark's peoceed with instruction's above
