I didn't imply they couldn't. I merely stated a Dev 5 package and a supercharger were incompatible. The cam is too lumpy, and while porting the head would be of benefit, raising the compression isn't. All the intake stuff is rendered useless, and if you go a turbo instead of a s/c then the headers are useless too.

Why do you 'hope they steal Herrod sales'? What a stupid thing to say. Herrod specialises in Ford V8 work, but does some I6 stuff too. The Mocks are specialising in I6 - I have no idea if they V8 stuff as well. Trying to infer some sort of rivalry is just plain dumb.

I'm quite happy with my Herrod system, and Rob is a top bloke who I trust, and I'll continue to return to him when I happen to be in Victoria and recommend him to others. If others are happy the Mock stuff, that's great too.

I doubt the DEV5 would produce anywhere near as much torque as a blower or turbo would... and torque is just as important IMO.

I would say any cam that can run on a map std system would be o/k.. Checkout what duration etc the v8's run with blowers..280*+ duration svo say is ideal...A blower usually makes more power atleast 500 rpm lower compared to N/A so long as exhaust valve isn't open too long???And some cams favour more duration on exhaust..Anyway lets try it and see, with lower compression and 30 Lp injectors..8/12 Lp wastgate...

The new engines comeing out could make all this obslete..[sp]
v8's I will!!

How are you Rob, what im saying is Im not sure on this but I believe a cop told me he could be bullshitting me but he said, if you raise the power of a car to a certian percentage above manufactors specs, you need an engineers report, becuase the car is not setup correctly to have that amount of power so it makes it illegal.

Regards.
Ray

By the way Rob checked out your site, looks good its about time.

The Turbo game will become interesting with the AV, I assume there may me aftermarket setups developed using Ford Turbo technology. Granted the new 6cyl will be pretty different to the current one.

IMHO the word FORD and TURBO sure sounds far sweeter than HOLDEN and SUPERCHARGED........
