The valve reliefs in the piston won't be there.A turbo conversion would almost work out cheaper.. A few years time 2nd hand engine complete way to go...

Yes there was someone who made a DOHC head for the EA-EL....his name is Krogdahl. His website is like krogdahl.com or something....do a search, you'll find it.
And yes, they were very pricey. A guy I know priced one and I think it was like $8k complete and fitted for a DOHC head that would give you about 300kw @ engine(~200@wheels). You'd be much better off with a turbo or supercharger IMO.
Twin cam head comes with VCT as standard which will require the BA EEC for starters. Then the EEC is the drive by wire, so needs input from the accelerator pedal and outputs values to some sort of electric motor.
The whole front of the BA block looks different too, the head appears to finish before the cam chains and the block/head appears to have a one piece cam box so i;d say its a tall order.
no the BA head will not fit previous blocks, the head and the front of the engine are completely different designs - no seperate oil pump/dissy drive for a start...

I can get new Genuine Holden/Ford/Audi/Land Rover/Honda parts cheap, PM me!
I would turbo or see if you can get a Barra 6, wouldnt bother now with the Krogdahl Heads, as good as their craftmanship is I could not see why they bothered to make twin cam 2 valve heads and not 4 valve. It's like doing half a job.
