my dad is thinkin of buyin a au2-3 fairmont ghia, and i have a few q's abt the car;
1 how does the vct feel against a el ghia.
2 how does the actual vct work, i.e. is there a mechanism that changes gears on the cam?????
3 any probs with the engine, like e-series have there head gasket.
4 any other pointers to look out for with these cars.

The AU's use a different head gasket and they aren't normally as prone to blowing them like the E series models.

The ride should be better in the AU due to the IRS. The Ford system is meant to be top notch.
