I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with installing the wade 1004-112 cam, if so any help would be appreciated

where do i get the shims from and how much are they roughly, and a mechanic i spoke to said something about having to redrill a gear or something is this true or is he trying to rip me off

I got my shims from Ford spare parts @ $4 per shim. Sounds like the mechanic is trying to rip you off. It is a simple boltin job... Also I had trouble finding lifter seals in Geelong so had to go to JMM in Melb to get them.

You only need lifter seals if you break the ones that are already in there. If you push the lifters out via the hole in the top of the rocker arm instead of pulling them out the bottom they wont break and you dont need new ones.

i was also told there is 2 different shim sizes is that true???
