ok guys thanks for that but a new problem!!! ok on tuesday i forgot to mention that the car started stalled and wouldnt start at all. so i left it for an hour came back and the car started fine.
anyway today after i left work i ripped a pretty massive burn out (idiot i know!!!!!!!) it blew alot of smoke (tyres and exhaust) and then she just stalled. tried to start it, it would kick over blow a shit load of smoke and not start. the more i tried to kick it over the less and less smoke it blew. and now i just left it at work and im guna go back in a few hours to try start it.
another thing i did when i changed the cam was change the leads, spark plugs and accelarator cable. I put xr6 spark plugs in it. can any of the above make it do what its doing?? im really confused and sick of the problems im having. please if anyone has any clue on this not starting business it would be greatly appreciated.
if i can get it started im going to take it home and first thing tomorrow morning im going to put the orginial cam back in. i havent nopticed the stalling improve at all over the past week. should i leave it in?? aahhh just as long as the bloody thign starts!!

Did you put too many shims in??? Did you measure the new cam base circle and old one? Get the difference and check that the shims are correct size. This may have something to do with it.
9volt battery jobs that plug into cigarette lighter it works well to keep memory in tac if needing to disconnect battery for any reason. or you start the three wks again.
What is this device called and where did you get it? Thanks.
Sounds alot like the symptoms I suffered after installing my Crow stage 2 cam into an EAII S MPFI..
Ran well for about the first week. Then went to puss. Very rarely did it completely stall but idle would drop to rock bottom and then surge back up over 1000rpm.. I to flogged shit out of it when it was running crap and afterwards it ran even more shit like really gutless and piss poor idle (had to keep my revs up)..
In addition to this after giving the car a 15minute drive (under load) up the kuranda range and bringing it home I found that the car would just turn over and fail to start. Leave it for half an hour or so and it would start fine. I also changed sparkies and leads when changing my cam (not to mention full rebuild)..
I found that after cleaning the ISC out (a fair bit of shit came out) the car ran a hell of a lot better however even to this day she doesnt idle perfectly..
When cold idle is about 800-900rpm but then when its been running for a while i can get small surges when going over speed bumps (slight acceleration) and idle is about 600-700rpm..
Maybe you could try searching the forums on how to clean the ICS and give that a burl.. hope it helps!

well i find out why it wasnt starting. The spark plugs out of the xr6 are totally different to the standard 6 plugs, they potrude about 2 mm more.
i took out the plug and it was all black with petrol on them, and they had only been in for a week. (car was running very rich) i changed them all and it started thank god! but a few hours later it stalled again and decided not to start, i gave it 5 min and it started fine.
it seems to be idling a little better now. to be honest i havent noticed much of an improvement at all in power especially over the last few days, dont know if im used to it but it sure as hell feels pretty ordinary. i really dont think all this effort is worth it in the end. im going to keep it in for a few more weeks if it keeps stalling then im guna take it out and put the normal one back in for sure. any ideas why i cant feel the car pulling? i mean u see the rpm needle travel quicker from about 3.5k to 4.5k but it doesnt feel like its actually doing much. like most people here with the wade cam explained i feel like i should notice it alot more. thanks again people!
