ok so i want to redo the gasket on the water pump... only problem....there are 2 gaskets.... but how do u get the second one off....any help would be appreciated im going insane :)

if its like a crossflow motor and has a metal plate covering one gasket, i'd leave it if its not damaged, i have put at least 3 second hand water pumps on motors(XE/XF)left the old one between pump and plate and put a new gasket to engine block. never had probs yet
if its no good (damaged)i dont have a clue how you would get a new one over the plate

ok turns out it doesnt matter the water pump is so corroded it has a hole in the side... well it does now i tapped it with a screwdriver

oh well :D
