Today i cleaned my throttle body with some wurth carby clean.
The problem is that the car has developed a weird idle.
For example straight away after i cleaned the throttle body the car went up to1500 revs then dropped back down to abot 1100rpm and when i shift back to park the revs go high as again
when i'm driving and pull up to a set of lights the car will idle at about 800rpm then drop down to normal or goes back up and when i shift from lets say from park to reverse theres a hard kick cause of the high rpm and i'm worried it will damage my auto.
I should also maention i disconnected the battery after to try and reset the computer but its still the same and i should also mention i have a ram pod fitted on the car but like i said up till then the car idled normally.

Idle Speed Control..
Also called iar..Inlet Air Control..
It's the idle motor on throttle body..
Spark / leads in good nick??
Look at your inlet when it goes from black inlet to Alloy the first part on the onlet is the throttle body. There is a screw on the side. Try screwing it in say one turn and see if it makes any difference..Should idle around 700..If too low the idle motor comes in and jumps it up tp 1500 rpm..The eec sometimes does this to prevent over rich mixture on decel.. more of a pollution device in that case and normal tho a pita...

thats exactly what it does on startup it starts on 1500rpm and the drops to about 1100rpm then lower or higher i'm thinking i stuffed the isc with the carby clean.

What happens if you disconnect it ? Adjust idle to say 750 rpm?? If its o/k it could be a stuffed idle control?? [isc] You can run without it connected but may stall when stop suddenly and no higher idle when cold..
