confused What cam, how to tell ??

I am going to replace my rocker cover gasket some time within the next few weeks, it is starting to leak just a little bit, but what I want to know:
1. Is it possible to tell if the cam installed is stock or not, is there anything stamped anywhere to look out for.
2. What else should I inspect and how to test while the rocker cover is off.
3. Anything else :0)

Re: What cam, how to tell ??

you can check the lift with a dial gauge on a rocker arm if yo uhave access to a dial gauge...

do you know the history of your engine? anything to suggest it may already have an aftermarket cam?
