Question What to expect with JMM

Hey all,

This week im getting JMM Race Series headers with HPC, JMM spark plugs, JMM 3" Induction Intake Pipe and the air intake stuff with a 2.5" redback exhaust system and modifying the current cat.

This is going on an 5spd EF

Just wonderin what you guys think i can expect the engine is currently stock as a rock these will be the first mods.

Cheers

Choca

Should make quite a difference, open up the breathing a hell of a lot.
hard to give numbers or anything but i'd expect a healthy push in the pants :)

whats it costing? (you're installing yourself, or are they doing it?)

Re: What to expect with JMM

Im ordering everything apart from the Redback exhaust from JMM and having it posted to canberra then having it installed here

the parts from JMM are costing just under $1300 including postage

The exhaust and fitting of the headers is costing $490

Re: What to expect with JMM

I'll say around 130-135rwkw on a good day. Depends on the condition of the motor.

You will have a 14.xx second car though!

Yeh? 14 seconds that'd be awsome, the engine is in awsome condition serviced every 5000 and only just gone over 100,000 clicks

Re: What to expect with JMM

It will be pretty close to 14.xx, I'm betting it will do it based on manual and the weight of the car.
RWKW is nice but times are better :s6:

Re: What to expect with JMM

I'd be more inclined to think around 125rwkw tops.
And more like a mid to low 15 400m time.

Rick.

Close enough. I would only take about 130rwkw to get an EF I6 into the 14's BUT it all depends on if the power is across the rev range and not just a burst after 3000rpm if you know what I mean.

Re: What to expect with JMM

you would need 135 rwkw to get a manual EF into the 14's. And significantly more for a 3.08 diff'ed auto.

Should factor on the seat-o-pants meter though, and thats what really matters, not a stop watch or an A4 printout, but how it feels to drive.

I would have thought the same until Hamo got his AU Forte auto with 3.08 SS to run a 14.86 with around 130rwkw. I'm guessing the Forte and the EF would be a similar weight.
