SiX_iN_a_RoW 96 EF Futura Join Date: Aug 2002 Location: Now Residing in Brisbane Age: 29 Posts: 2,494	What is this fault code?? Took my 96 EF auto into the transmission shop today to have the codes read, the only code it would spit out was "engine performance light fault or short" WTF? anyone know what it is? __________________ Lets go find that Hotdog tree I planted Lowered EF Futura Black Steelies ( too cheap to buy proper mags )

Supposed to be one in the lower RHS of the cluster which says 'ECON' (assuming your ECON switch is on). If its not there, pull the cluster out, whack in a new bulb and see what happens, cos i know that if the Smartlock bulb goes out it buggers up the system, so this could be similar. __________________ 2002 Focus CL Hatch too slow..............for now
