Who here has destruct-tested an AU motor?

As it says. A little short of money to do it myself, does anybody know what RPM the top and bottom ends are good for?

Well, I've bounced mine off the limiter a few times
Seems to handle that ok!

put the auto shifter in 1st and leave it there.....dont say that it red lines at 80 coz i done it (to 130kmh) and i seen how red red can get...i swear i had piston dents in the inside of my bonnet. lol

Re: Who here has destruct-tested an AU motor?

I think 180kph in first is a TAD over estimating the car
Your looking at about 11000rpm there! Probably more!
Hell, 130kph in first must have been over 7000rpm!

to get 180 k's outta first, you might wanna panel beat the firewall out a few more inches to get that little bit extra throttle travel....
