Fellas i got an EB and it just drinks petrol like there is no tomorrow!!

According to the trip computer, on constant freeway driving it drops to 13.4L, driving around town it sits anywhere between 14.5L and 16.5L depending how much i give it!!!!
In a full tank i get between 330-360km if lucky!!!! Why is this?? My mate has a CPI EA and he manages to pull 400km out of his tank!!!The car has a pod filter, will this make a difference?? i have cleaned the throttle body, reset the computer....
its pissing me off especially with the fuel prices now well over $1 a litre! Please if anyone knows why this is doing this help! :(

My old EB falcon S originally had a range of 300kms around town. After getting the injectors cleaned and tested, it went up to 500kms around town. Have you had your's done at all?

they have been never done apparently.... I was thinking this but i didnt think it would make THAT much of a difference.. wow.. my dads trip comp stays around the mid 12's on his ef... The pod doesnt affect this increase in petrol?

The pod would not account for the amount of fuel you are using.

maybe the o2 sensor is stuffed / broken causing it to run rich !

Yeah try checking the MAP and 02 sensors, it is hard to believe the injectors would cause such a difference, but might as well get them professionally cleaned - can't hurt.

I had a MAP sensor problem, due to the fact that i would use 20km worth of fuel in a 5 km drive and that was driving slowly!

Swap MAP sensors, reset the computer. Give that a go.

well im doing 17.8 - 18L/100km ....need to get injectors cleaned and maybe get some extractors put on....they should lower the fuel usage down.

If the car is running OK I very much doubt that its the injectors. There is alot of unnecessary injector cleaning going on for no gain whatsoever. Check all sensors, especially MAP and O2. I put programable EMS 8860 in a 330k worn out engine. I use to get 14L per 100km. With the current tune my best is now 9.3L/100 on the same driving route (over 700km per tank). Car is 5sp with no mods other than the programable computer.
