Okay I'm going to improve my engine bay appearance and I was thinking of putting on a rocker cover from an EF/EL taxi which I can get at the wreckers for $20. Will it fit on the EA head with the standard rubber rocker cover gasket or will it leak oil?

At the wreckers this morning and placed an EL rocker cover on top of an old EA head sitting in a raped EA taxi. Anyway the lip at the front doesn't seal properly. I would say you could use some of that blue gasket sealant but knowing my luck it will probably leak oil. I might just have to go an ED rocker cover and paint it red, like everyone else lol. It's a shame because an EL rocker cover will look sweat in an EA engine bay. Oh Well!!!

EF/EL rocker covers fit fine, as long as you use the EF/EL gasket and a bit of silicon or equivalent sealant on the little half circle bits at the front and rear.

Anyone who has done the BBM conversion will most likely be using one of these rocker covers (me included), so it's not uncommon.

They do fit, you just need an EL gasket. I have one on my EB, Thanatos has one on his EA.

Oh, also it's easiest if you use the EF/EL bolts. You can get away with using the EA ones, but you need to pack them out with washers to get the right height.

Yeah I had mine one with the EB bolts to start with, packed out with washers.

Now got EF bolts in there.
