Re: wot exactly is a reground cam
as it suggets, a cam that has had the lobes ground to change the characteristics of the cam, i.e. longer duration of valves being open on the exhaust or inlet side, etc.
Mostly you take a standard cam and grind it to give better performance, but you only go so far before you get to the softer metal of the cam and wreck it.
