Not quiet,try a new thermastat, should go to the end of normal then drop back to halfway when you start it up when cold .

Both my cars warm up to exactly half way and stick there. I wouldn't worry too much unless the car is taking longer than 10 mins to warm up. If so, get nothing other than a genuine Ford dual acting thermostat for around $28. I tried stuffing around with other brands and wasted a few bucks in the process with dismal results.

What I'd love would be a digital readout of the temperature so you know exactly what temp it is. I've seen them, however they need to be calibrated for the cars signal and this appears to be a specialty process.

bad fuel economy, black composits on the exhaust tip... if these can be a resault of a faulty thermostat, i think i needs me a new one...

grandparent style cruising i sit below the line on the temp guage (ie before the n but after the blue box for cold), thrashing it only goes up to about N... i think it's prolly ****ed... no wonder im getting like 40ks out of $10 petrol
