My girlfriends 1988 XF six (not injected) just dies and will only restart when primed with petrol down the carbie or aerostart or some similar product. Is this a carbie problem or do I need a new fuel pump or something. If fuel pump where is it and is it easy to change?
fuel pump/filter/line would be my guess. take off the filter if it is full of crap replace it, try to blow back through the fuel line. I know on the EA that when i turn the key to acc I can hear the fuel pump start dunno about XF though
