XF EFI Fuel Consumption

Hi guys,
Just joined up yesterday and would like to know how fuel efficient the XF 4.1 EFI motor is.
My daily driver is an XB Fairmont Sedan with a stock 250, auto and 3.23 diff. At the moment its using about 20l/100km - 50/50 highway / city driving.
I would like to put an injected XF 5 speed, but have heard that these motors use more fuel than a carby 302.
Is this true?.

My XF Ghia 4.1 averaged 11.2 over 400 kays of driving, nearly all in 100 kay zones. It's got high compression pistons, camshaft, 2.5 exhaust and extractors. Auto also has tourque converter and 2500 stall.

Usually it's around 12l/100 kays.

I get 200 k's out of a full tank of premium but i have a carby, holley 465, head work, big cam, exhaust, extractors and a very heavy foot. In an XF by the way.
And the carby isnt tuned properly yet.
Not really relevant but i wanted to whinge.

Ive got a 1985 leaded XF EFI. It gets 11-12l/100km with 100% city driving (goes out to 14 if I lean on it). In my experience the leaded motors were better than the unleaded ones.
