XF Stalling on Startup

Hey Guys!,

The XF has been doing this for a while now, its a carby and when i go to start it up in the morning, it will start fine, but then stall instantaneoulsly once it has started, unless i am quick enough and give the accelerator a tap and keep it going.

When it does stall, i go to start it again and it starts fine!. It starts fine for the rest of the day as well!.

Any ideas?? I am suspecting it is something related with the automatic choke?

Thanks!

mine was worse, I used to have to start it, keep the revs between 1000rpm - 1500rpm, and sit there for a few minutes.. then take my foot of the accel. and pray it didnt stall!

I gave her a service though, and the problem subsided..

Gave her a full service and tune...

although the stalling was being caused by the choke being way out of adjustment...all adjusted and she is happy again :-)
