What about the electrics, fly-by-wire, radio, etc? As far as I know, who ever decides to do this will need a crapload of spare time on their hands if they want to get it done.

Bragging again, MongrelEB? Hehe. An AU engine should definately fit but wouldn't see much point considering they both use EEC-V and have the same power. Only benefit of the AU engine would probably be fuel consumption.

Meh I can't brag till I fix the fuel problem.....mutter mutter mutter......
On the other hand, if it did have clearance problems, just chuck a birdcatcher on the bonnet to cover the hole - it'd probably only be at the front.

It would be a hell of a lot of work to do this. Ive done a bit of research and the only real way would be to get the stuff from a write off car. The problems are tht all the electronics are networked and if one system isnt there the others dont function as well. (So I was told). Would ne an interesting project to do. You could use the IRS from an AU and have traction control and all the fancy stuff like that. Then you could also use an AU K frame and just bolt the engine in for the sake of using AU or BA rims to match the rear.
