I'm pulling apart a clevo n its been a while (stuffin round with 6's) n i seem to remember a 302 has 302 stamped onto the crank whereas 351 has some different coding. Thats a way to tell the difference. is this right?

some of the earlier 351's have 4ma or 4mab on them.

if you are really unsure just measure the crank, or check the stroke while its still together.

theve got 302 or 351 or 4ma 4mab on them , ive never seen a cleveland crank without marks , not saying they dont exist

All 302c cranks I've seen have 302 clearly stamped in the crank counter balances. HTH

The cubic capacity markings are for Aussie cranks. The "originals" had letter and number codes. I am fairly sure there is more than just "4MA" and "4MAB" in their original format. Obviously, a knowledgeable 'yank' would know more....

Did any of the 302c engines have 4mab or is this a 351 crank marking only,,the reason i ask is i had my sump off the other week and noticed the crank had 4mab on it but im not sure the engine is 351 ci.

1MA = 260
2MA = 289
3MA = 302
4MA = 351

America didn't have 302C. 4MAB is definitely 351C.
