I am presently in the research and planning stages for rebuilding and improving the performance of my 302C. In it's present untouched form it is a great highway cruiser and dosn't miss a beat.

The original Email carbi is in need of rebuild or replacing due to hard starting and flat spot on low rev accelaration.

I do not want to make major modifications that detract from the originality of the car, but would like a bit more power. I am looking at improved exhaust (currently only single) and induction as a start and getting rid of pollution gear, but am also interested to know of any previous experiences out there and abosute do's and absolute don'ts???

What are your goals?
Is highway cruising important?
Are you concerned about fuel economy?
Are you doing a full rebuild?
What is your budget?
Do you want to retain the present capacity?
What is your gearbox?
What is your diff ratio?
What fuel do you want to run?

The more information that you can provide, the better the answers that this forum will give you.

1) Goals - Not to stray too far from original (i.e. keep 302C).
2) Highway cruising is important. Not a street racer, never to be.
3) Am willing to loose some fuel economy (within reason) for improved performance.
4) Will all be part of full rebuild.
5) Preliminary research - have no idea what I will spend (not huge dollars).

8) Get back to you on that - XC BW 8" with discs?
9) Pemium Unleaded (needs conversion)
