I know someone in the process of building a 2 stroke V8 for a model car all in alloy.
He is making everything for it, crank, pistons, block, exhaust, the whole lot.
Will be interesting to see how it goes when complete - It will be running on nitro-methane (model car fuel)

Reminds me of the CMB I had in my Hydroplane. It was similar to this:



2.8 HP / 35,000 RPM

Bore: 16.33 mm

Stroke: 16.7 mm

Displacement: 3.49 cc

To put the output into perspective, if a cleveland made the same power per litre, you would be looking at around 4630hp.

My engine was ported and had an exhaust throttle. Used to run on around 50% nitro, so made a bit more power than a stock motor.

there was a donk that produced 1000 HP from a single cly 1 ltr engine years ago, never seen or heard anymore about it. also i had a video of a F1 engine on a dyno with a clear inlet manifold, when it ran on the dyno the manifold changed colour as the revs went up, it reved to 18 k
