Some folks might not have heard of Trick & Mansweto, or hp hero's at the summernats, 351 w taken out to 400 thumping figures of 711.4 rwhp, no turbo, no blower, no nos, and on pump fuel.
average over 3 runs on the dyno, car had to be driven in to the cell driven out and complete the super cruise with no tuning in between.
You might have seen pix of the car yellow xygt rep launching with its wheels 4 foot of the ground.
T&W also won the most powerful small block in the US about 6 months ago, against some of the US's best tuners, GO AUSSIE, and GO WINDSORS.

Yes i was talking to jason at the summernats. They were runningavgas in that capri. And the yellow xy from queensland is putting out more power than jasons capri. I think it is 848 at the rear wheels. But he hasnt took it to the summernats. I think jasons motor is actually a 416 cube. But that engine is something like $50,000.

If you find a windsor block ive got a solid roller cam for sale to suit a windsor specs are 248/254 duration @ 50 and 670 thou lift with a 1.73 rocker great cam for street strip use, good luck finding a decent virgin windsor block its like tryin to find a needle in a hay stack as there not as common as the clevelands.

In the US the Popular Hot Rodding 2004 engine masters series was won by a Clevo. From what i understand the point scoring is designed more to reward average horsepower & torque between 3000 & 6500 but it still cranked out 689hp & 611lb-ft on pump fuel so i wouldn't give up on the Clevos quite yet.

The RPM range was 2500-6500 and if the rules would have allowed "Clevors," I can tell you that Kaase and others would have used Windsor-style blocks. The SVO blocks can easily punch out to 4.155" and that makes a big difference when trying to amass 410 CID.

Couldn't they use a BOSS motor if they wanted Clevo style heads on a Windsor?

You would think so. BUT - I emailled Scott whatshisname about that. I basically asked that if a Boss was a 302 with C heads, what was the deal of locking out a 9.5 deck W block with a C head. The respose was "can't do it." OK - fine. They basically allowed tall decks in the GM area and they could sure mix-n-match parts from different engines. One group DID run a 410 Boss - I think they used a Dart 8.2 block. The blurb on the PopRod website said it was a Boss replacement block - that's BS for sure. The competition rules were (and still are) rather slanted away from the Fords, so when Ford kicked ass two years in a row is was some good in-yer-face to the GM crowd. Unfortunately, Kasse is going Pontiac this coming year IIRC.
