Ordered the stroker kit from Rocket this morning and dropped the block off to Pavtek this afternoon. The stroker kit should get to Pavtek Monday or Tues. I have to drop back to Pavtek to give them my flex plate for balancing.
Basic figures inc GST for the block is $2000.

Hopefully I can have it all back in my hot little hands to assemble shortly Spoke will Phil @ TCE sussed out what cam should work with the heads and stall. Can't wait.
Good work about time you went with the 393 .
Let me know how you go with it after its all done .I will be very interested in hp and torque reading with your heads been redone and different cam.

I won't have anything but a chassis dyno figure. I know it should be over 600fwhp. Pavtek have built quite a few 600hp+ 393's like what I'm doing [edit] My kits basically the same as yours Tony. The only difference is I'll be milling the heads to raise the compression. The aims around 12:1.

Sweet can not wait to hear the results .
The engine that I have is only the base and will be built some more in the future .
Baby steps for me 300hp standard XAGT is the most I have had before .
But once I get used to it more is there to be had .
With comp being 12:1 are you still able to run pump gas

I would have thought you would be bang on 12:1 comp strait up.
Is yours the 60cc chambers?
You should see some nice results with a cam suited to the combo and 393 cubes.
Nah not 12:1 straight up because of the 10cc dish in the pistons. With a 10cc dish comps close enough to 10.7:1. My chamber size is around 60cc but they'll have to be cc'd just to make sure.
What did you get in the kit from Rocket. I thought you would of brought the kit form High Performance World.
Ordered from Rocket as I got trade price not retail. HPW was dearer. Basically I got crank, rods, timing gear and pistons. I'm getting Pavtek to organise rings and bearings but I added the cost of bearings and rings to the stroker kits cost. Most kits don't inc bearings or rings.
