Well i have the tounge plates in place, the manifold was matched by filling with devcon then filing, the graph shows the difference in bottom end and midrange power gained by use of tounges, the engine pulled consistant runs of 284rwkw and now feels much stronger on the road, even with 275 drag radials the tyres are easily turning when changing to 2nd and 3rd, peak power is around the same but there is an increase in peak tractive effort, overall i am happy with the gain from $130.00 worth of tounge plates.
The only question now is, will this give me the mph that it should, the dyno was done with a 150 rate which the engine used to struggle with, it now spins up much faster.

I bet your happy to be driving again!! It will be good to see it at the strip running the numbers it should (and will )
I just got off the rollers myself at a dyno comp. Finally made 230 rwkw on these tight ass Cairns dynos. Clevos love it running rich!
What would be good to see is the difference in the TORQUE curves. I'll bet it's a bit fatter down low and mid range, with the increased intake air velocity.
Ask them for a printout of the tractive effort (before and after). It will all be stored on their dyno computer.
If it revs quicker (more hp & tq), what limit are you happy to go to?
What brand tongues did you use. Has anyone used those tongues that are made in western australia. They have a high spot in the middle of them. They are alot different to other ones i have seen.

I asked for the tractive effort overlaping charts to be printed, i didn't notice until i got home they were not on there, but there was a good gain and unlike power there was a gain right through as well as at peak.
What do you mean what limit am i happy to go too ?

Crochunter, i have no idea what brand the tounges are, Hallam Performance sourced them from a Melbourne based pro drag racer friend that races hypo clevelands, they are a steel gasket with tounges built in, i only recently heard about them.
