I hope this thread stays here as this is where the majority of 9 inch users are.
I have a 9 inch in my XD, but was wondering if when converted from a borgy, did you retain the chassis bump stop, or run a rubber stop acually on the bracket bolted to the centre? The bracket one on my current 9 inch doesn't have the rubber, but the one off my spare has. I have noticed my tailshaft has been rubbing on the floor, so i think i need a bumpstop. How are your set up?

I run both on mine not that it makes any difference though. By the time it twists that far the uni's long gone. Not having much clearance is a good thing for twist etc. Just not for street use. I wished mine was that close!

i use both also and i can see that it has hit
6 cyl rear springs , lowered about 1 3/4"
yes i go through unis but not as much as before i lowered it
there are a few different 9 inch types , not sure if they are diferent heights though

I run 2 inch lowering blocks, but have never had a uni problem with the auto. I was wondering about when the suspension is at full travel, if the bump stop being too close will fully bottom out and cause problems.
Just with the tailshaft hitting the floor on full travel is also a concern.
The roads in Cairns are shite. Nearly all dirt tracks. lol.
