Just looking for some suppliers of AFD cylinder heads,i am really after AFD 4V/60cc Chamber heads.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Looks not bad,but prolly have to fork out more for new valves and springs to suit the .730" roller.

If i buy 58cc then ill have 12.2 to1 comp and if i get 64cc then ill have 11.2 so was hoping for 60cc but 62cc should put me somewhere around 11.5 which is ok i guess.

MAybe better gettin a new set of bare heads and and using my competition valves from the ol cast iron heads and grabbin some new springs.

Opinions.????

Do whatever meets your requirements. I bought my heads bare purely because at the time is was cheaper to reuse my own valves. Alloy heads were around $4500-5000 complete when I bought mine. I later found the valves not very durable and replaced all 16 12mths down the track.

[edit]theres nothing stopping you decking the heads to get the correct chamber size. I'm sure they'd have plenty room for this. My own heads started life @ 64cc now they are 58cc.

The ones I bought will suit 750th ECC 4V and you can order them with 48/54/58/64/70 and 75cc size chamber but I asked for a 66cc and got it so if you ask for a 60cc he will prolly relieve a 58 to suit your needs

I think he might just deck the 64cc. A mate who just started his 408c had his cc dropped on his 4v's. Sent them to dave and all he did was deck the heads. Ended up making his piston to valve clearance a little hairy.

Yeah thats why i don't want to go machining too much of the heads.Ive sent them an email asking about custom chamber sizes so ill see how i go.

What is the minimum clearance everyone is running between the crank counterweight and the piston pin boss as i need to machine the crank to give it some clearance.

Could be wrong but I don't think 58cc will give you 12.2 : 1.

I have AFD 2V's with 57cc chamber and my engine guru adviser tells me that results in 11.2 : 1 with flat tops and zero deck height?

Can somebody do the math?
