Now my engine easliy revs past 6500 on the road I'm considering upgrading to a better balancer and toothed flat belts in place of the old V belts

What are my options?

Any bad experiences with other than std belts.

What size pulley should the alternator run? (remembering that Phase 3's had a larger alt pulley to reduce spin speed)

I looked into it but swicthing to thermo fans and gates belts elimated my belt throwing probs. Currently looking into running a ac compressor clucth on ps pump for dragging, when the clevo used to throw the belts the reduced load was like a shot of nos for a second or two.

What are gates belts?

I take it that u would install the air con clutch to the pwr str pump so that u can turn it off when going in a staight line?

I consider Gates brand, the best belts. They are good quality USA made belts.

CBC power transmission supplies sell them ask for Gates green stripe vee belts, they do all sizes. Yes ac type clutch on the PS pump would improve power and steering response at hispeed straight line runs! Well it's an idea.

Hey that place seems familiar. Feels like i live there.
They dont make the alternator (11a type) in the greenstripe, only the fan/aircon and p-steer(13a type). Still, exactly the same without the greenstripe.
