Anyone know of a late model Cleveland for sale?

Must be 82 or later. That is, A or B as the 5th letter in the engine number. 302 or 351, rebuilder ok (must be able to be bored to .030 if necessary)Victoria E/SE area.

Thanks.

I don't mean to ask a stupid question but why 82 and later?

That's not a stupid question. It's going into an 82 Landcruiser, and the engineers certificate is a lot easier to get (emissions) if the engine is the same year or later. They look at the block number. I don't know why, as the block has nothing to do with emissions. It's the heads / intake etc. that determine that. Anyway....

I have a couple here but you will need to pm me with codes so I can determine if they are the right year , although frankly I boubt the engineer will have much of a clue .

Id be amazed if many engineers or the RTA would be able to tell the difference, nor could they sustantiate an arguement that it even matters seeing the blocks are all the same anyway.

If that's the case and subject to your budget, Why don't you retro with an injected post 91 302 and stroke to 347 funds permitting. Then there shouldn't be any dramas with your engineer, Only your wallet. 12 months ago here in Brisbane I checked with my certifier re a V8 into a mates 2004 territory and he said the engine could not be more than 5 yrs old hence to do it now would mean an engine ( At least the block anyway ) no earlier than 2001.
