I'm still running the disc brake LDS 2.77 and tall 255/15/60’s which make matters worse.

I'm no where near hitting the track, as I've had to pull the 351 out (explained in the following thread) and replaced it with a worn out stock 302C that I had lying around, just to keep my wheels turning.

I know you’re wondering “why hasn’t that slacker finished that damn shed yet”? It’s not that I’m not interested, but with the ever increasing demands from my 5 kids (aged from 10 to 21), maintaining our 4 vehicles, and my wife Bev finding other things to do around the aging house, I am getting there.

I’ve actually finished the plans and I’ve got most of the metal now too. I’ve also picked up a cheap MIG welder too, (it’s been a while since I’ve done any welding, but I’m looking forward to it).

Ashamed to say I only got a 15.5 in the Mach1 on 2.79 gears

There's a few fairly weak excuses which could be included but I won't bore you with them

The good news is that I've got a complete 3.55:1 centre to drop in for next year plus I've just bought another Muzzy for spares & that has a complete 9 inch axle (ratio unknown)

sorry but are 2.79 and 3.55 ford gears? this would be a first!

Indeed they are, the ones I'm using now are in an 8 inch axle, according to the Mustang Data Book both 2.79 & 3.55 were available in 73.

2.77 gears and 26.5 seconds with broken motor and c4 and flat tyre .

14.8 in an lpg xd wiv 2.77 and doomed c4 that takes like 2 secs of flaring to get to third, ended up just holding it in 2nd for the 14.8...
