Boost 98

I read in Street Machine that there is a new petrol out on trial in South Oz from United called Boost 98. Obviously from the name it is 98 octane but it also contains up to 10% ethanol.

Has anyone tried it? Any good?

Re: Boost 98

I've used the 94/95 one in the 351. Didn't get the chance to test the 98ron one. One thing I did notice is if you didn't jet for it the the consumption would increase.

Works fine in my EFI cars.

Re: Boost 98

Yeah we have 'Boost 98' down here in Eastern Victoria.

Have tried it in the Senator and it seemed to repond well.

Have not tried it in the Clevo yet.

Re: Boost 98

Well there you go!! On checking their website the ethanol blended petrols from united are being introduced across Victoria.

The article in Street machine said there were some good gains if you adjusted your tune for it (ie jets).

I'd be keen to try it out. There is a united servo down the road that I never use at the moment.

Brenx, Jet for it? In which direction?

Did you need to run it leaner because better fuel burn or richer?

Cheers

You need to jet bigger otherwise you'll run lean.
