Its been cool finally, so i upped the main jets 2 sizes to 77, and put in some octane booster for a try.
I run BP 98 and my plugs generally run and stay quite white on
the porcelin. Decided to add some nulon octane booster and the
porcelin/ground strap have gone a rusty/light red color. Does the nulon
usually make a colour change? It also looks like it is running a lot leaner than before too, looking at the base ring on the plug.
Is anyone using the nulon Pro strength in their fuel?

Yes since i switched from AV-GAS to BP and Nulon i have noticed the same thing.

There was an article a few issues back in Street Machine by Bob Kotmel that I think I started a thead about. It was about fuels and the BP 98 and Nulon Pro Strenght Octane booster and some mob reckoned they tested everthing and the above two in combo gave the best result.

When I had my car on the dyno with BP 98 in it (my usual fuel) we then added the Nulon Pro Octane Booster and it didn't make even 1 rwkw difference with the same tune or any other tune for that matter

Yes i was running that nulon stuff too and it always made the plugs go a funny colour. If you dont use the car for a while and take the plugs out and see. They go rusty. I think all these aditives are no good. There is one called Toluene which is cheap to buy. I think you put in 4 litres with every 16 litres of fuel. Its meant to be good.
