Question Brisbane Tuners?

can anyone on here recommend a (or, even better, is anyone on here a...) tuner/carb specialist in Brisbane or on the Gold Coast?

I really want to get my ZH tuned SOON, the flat spot is pissing me off, the (lack of) fuel economy is pissing me off, the car in general is...

so yeah... anyone know someone? if not, there's a place with a dyno at wooloongabba that'll probably do it, except they're a turbo/lpg specialist...

and roughly what should i pay for a dyno tune? around $140 + parts? is that expensive?

Re: Brisbane Tuners?

Expect to be at least charged for two hours dyno time + parts. Could possibly be more depending on issues found.

Re: Brisbane Tuners?

depressing... they all want $99 an hour plus parts... 2 hours on a dyno + say $100 in parts is more than i earn in a week :( ... oh well... guess i'll put up with the stall-mobile for a while longer!

Re: Brisbane Tuners?

If its the LPG place with a dyno i'm thinking of at wooloongabba they had my car for a week once to fix a problem. End of the week they gave it back, said it was fixed, charged me a heap of money even though all they replaced were the plugs and then a day later the problem came back.

After that I gave it to a fellow at Capalaba(south brisbane) by the name of Nev Dowling in Smith Street and he fixed the problem within an hour and charged me half the price even though he replaced more than just plugs.

Re: Brisbane Tuners?

don't......................... bloody........................ ask!

more than i thought... but then again, that included $400 worth of carb, $25 worth of spacer and $100 worth of K&N filter element...

dyno tuning is $99 an hour, says it rarely takes more than an hour to an hour and a half....

the car's a ROCKET... only pulled 167rwhp, but the flat spot is gone, acceleration is smoooth... very happy with the work
