This would be the worst story I've had to post here.
Driving steadily along the freeway last night the clevo started to miss badly, then went clunk and rattle bang a few times then stopped.
Pulled over, got it started again to have a listen - no power, it didn't want to run and sounded like a big hammer being thrown around inside the donk. Got no idea at this stage but guessing it's way more than something simple like a dropped valve. Can a motor continue to fire with a broken crank? Because it actually sounded that bad.
So that's 1 gearbox down last week and now I'm up for a new motor. I'll post the diagnosis when I know next week because I'm going to have a few days grace/mourning period without going near it.
Planning that a bad thing turns into a good thing in the long run and the next donk turns out even better (and longer lasting) than this one.
damm i hope you can salvage some components from it if it has let go,nothing worse than a total write off. :(

the ONE thing i know for sure is: no matter how big and nasty YOUR CAR is, someone always has one thats BIGGER and NASTIER. build a bridge and get over it i did.

Just after the auto going to, it seems so unfair. I know you have spent a lot of money trying to do thing correctly, so I'm sure you will be checking to make sure you got what you paid for!
