Carbie probs.

Would small fragments of metal falling down the carbie **** up my valves?
Reason I ask is i've had a valvetrain prob for a while now, but today the car wouldnt start, i noticed the LPG mixer coming away from the carb (theres a good 3-5mm gap). I removed the mixer & saw that the thread ontop of the carb (the one to fit an cleaner) is threaded & all ripped up. Plus there was metal dust going down the barrels.
I guess ill have to replace the carbie
Hope you understand my problem

Re: Carbie probs.

No mate not unless we are talking large chunks.
Worse case scenario bent valves or hole in piston which i doubt
