Most of the kits come with forged 4340 crank,scat h beam rods and probe forged pistons. VPW sell them for $2435. Can you get them any cheaper than this.

That is cheap. I've just had a quote given for a 393 or 408 in a cleveland block. It aint cheap. $6900 no oil pump or sump (I'll need the oil pump but I already have two HV sumps.) With some head testing and possibly tidying if necessary. Thats the plan for mine. Stroke the bastard!

seen an as for a similar kit eg eagle crank scat rods cant remember what pistons for 2200 plus gst that included gaskets and bearing as well fairly cheap

$2200 i reckon they are I Beam rods.

balancing will be your major cost issue... $2200 i'd agree and say its the hyper piston, I beam kit

That's pretty cheap. Are the Probe pistons hypers or proper forgies? Most good forgies will cost over $1000 per set.
I paid $1350 for Scat 4340 crank, $628 for Scat H-beam 6" rods & $1140 for Arais forged pistons.
Don't cut corners on quality, it'll come back & bite you on the arse! Mal.

This mob in SA are selling 393C stroker kits "on special"...........knowing that we're not after cheap parts...........they haven't posted prices, but I'm waiting for an email response.

Their kit is a SCAT 9000 light weight crank (cast), SCAT 4340 H-Beam rods & SRP forged pistons, plus all the other bits (bearings, gaskits etc).
