CHI Pushrod Length

Has anyone needed to have longer pushrods when using the chi 3vs? I am using a flat tappet cam with mid 600thou lift.

Re: CHI Pushrod Length

I had to go shorter. I run 606/580 thou lift. A mate had to do the same with his 2V cast irons.

[edit]I am pretty sure it's deck height that makes the difference.

Re: CHI Pushrod Length

Standard is 8.4 inches.
With my steel 2V heads i had 8.50.
With my AFD heads i use 8.65 to get the geometry correct.
The odd thing is, with the 2v steelies, i had the block machined
30 thou and heads machined 50 plus thou, and still need longer pushrods.
The type of rollers used can change this. Especially the plantinum rollers
that have the studs pinned to the stud boss, usually need shorter windsor
pushrods..

Re: CHI Pushrod Length

May as well state what rockers I have then. I just have the standard Crane stud mounts. I found the standards went to far inbound. Next size down brought them more into the centre. The next size up were way off.
