Hey all,
talked with my mech today, he wanted to check my MSD dissy in the block to make sure it has good clearance or surport? not to sure why
I think its lack of surport under the gear, causing the gear to get chewed.... didn't get to do it this arvo cause i had a couple bur's and didn't want to scratch it all up...


Has anyone encounted this? I understand it is with XD style blocks...?

Blue or XC and earlier blocks are imperial distributor shaft being 1/2" or 12.7 mm.

Black or XD and later blocks are metric distributor shaft being 12mm spot on.

Keep me up with this pracy because I'm having similiar drama's. Check out my recent thread with an end gap issue on my MSD dizzy causing the weights to seize.

Also I've noticed my gear is fairly worn for the few thousand k's it has done. Any more info would be appreciated.

what is your block?
check you post,.....
if its an XD,XE Block you will need to add .7mm to either the shaft or inside the block...
or its a blue block but with a longer shaft for a XD style block, you will need to shave the dissy shaft..
depending on the length of the MSD shaft... i cant find it anywhere?
