Re: clevo blown???
Let me tell you a little story that happened not so long ago. A mate of mine rings me up and says his clevo is running terrible so I tell him drive the car over and i,ll check it out for you. He rings me when he is about half way to my place and tells me the motor just made an awful sound and then just seized.Had to get a towie to bring it the rest of the way. When i check it out it seems as if the engine is seized so i pull out the dipstick and sure as eggs milky oil. hmmm,no good me,s think. so i pull the rocker cover to find the culprit.A broken valve spring. Well you can imagine the mess that ensued when the valve dropped into the bore. Put a two inch split in the block, holed the piston, smashed the head ,you get the picture.Salvaged the crank and 7 rods.head needed welding to repair and a new insert. All in all an expensive lesson for all concerned.Moral of the story is that if it sounds broke it usually is and running it usually makes the problem worse.
