Tried everything to stop the clevo running on (dieseling) when its hot, I have resorted to turning it off in drive/rev. It idles at 800 to 900 in drive.
Can you fit a solenoid to a 750DP HP like the carters? Does anyone make a kit?

Does it idle that fast because it has to (big cam?) or is there problem? Like too much timing, fuel leaking out of transfer ports, etc?

What fuel?
What timing?

Things to check -:

*Make sure it's 98ron fuel if comps 10:1 or more
*Make sure total timing is correct and you don't have too much initial advance
*Not running on the idle circuit of the carb. you can run @ low rpm on the primaries but it causes problems like fouling plugs etc.
*check balancer hasn't spun. You may think your putting 10deg initial but it maybe 25deg initial.

I have turned mine off in "drive" for the past 3 years, and now its
just part of my clevos life. I added nulon Pro strenth the other day,
and it rarely does it now, unless pretty hot and idling at 1500rpm in park.
Mine idles at 1000 in gear and around 1400rpm in nuetral.
What does yours rev at in park/nuetral?

I forgot it can also mean the plugs your running are too hot.

Running BP5FS as 6 foul to quick, runs a 238 solid cam, ildes @ 1000to 1100rpm in park?
10.9:1 CR on 98RON on 16 int adv. Maybe that's life with a mild cam?

Your not running optimax are you? xbwgn runs a F238 and doesn't have those issues.

Don't run optimax. Of late it seems to be pretty ordinary. I put a tank in late Saturday and the car was almost instantly sluggish. I normally run Ultimate or Synergy. Optimax is also known for carboning plugs.

Keep Ultimate or Synergy in it and you will have less issues.

Although the weird thing is my 02 Mazda Astina goes well on optimax. Dare I say optimax works better on multivalve engines?

I have a bit of overrun as well even with ultimate and nulon pro strength. Seems to be a little worse after some hard driving. I thought it was because of the high compression 11.8:1. I normally let the clutch out slightly when i switch it off and it stops. When it was just on optimax with no additive it almost wanted to keep running completely sometimes (slightly exagerated) but it was fairly bad. A friend who has an untouched original XU1 torrie has the same problem, and it has always been like that since i've know him. Mine idles on bout 1100-1200.
