What's the rest of your combination? Carb, manifold, heads(any work), compression ratio, what sort of car, Manual/Auto(stall speed), diff ratio etc.
That would be a good cam if matched to the right parts.

Re: crow cam 21649 any good?

It should be a nice cam in an engine with the right mods.

The specs below:

216495
IN.34/68
EX.77/39
282/295
234/244 @ 50
.525" .525" @ 50
3000-6000rpm
Lumpy idle, high performance cam for highly modified engines.

Re: crow cam 21649 any good?

yup the one brenx has listed the details to is the one but on the crow cams site the last number 5 is just a reference number for things like machining and other requirements.my combo goes as such
351 with a 30 thou bore, stock crank n rods, hyper pistons, hardened pushrods, 2v head with cleaned up heads n 4v valves, X-CELERATOR manifold, 750dp, c10 3000 stall, 9 inch with 4.11 n minispool. once i get this runnin right then i hope to give it 100 shot nitrous

Re: crow cam 21649 any good?

I think 4.11's will be a tad too much for that setup. 3.7's would probably suit it more. I think with 4.11's, it may run out of rpm.

I've had mine in @ 7000rpm in top gear with 4.11's and still the rpm was rising. Trust me it doesn't take long. 4.11's help everything along nicely.

Would be worth trying considering 9" gears aint dear.
