Dipsticks not all created equal.

When I was cleaning some dipstick I noticed that the oil levels varied.

Measured from the end of the dipstick. (all the same length)

Dipstick 1
21mm low
43mm high
WARRANTY REQUIRES SE/101-C 011
DOAE-6750
Fat handle
As found on 1974 XB

Dipstick 2
21mm low
43mm high
72DA-6750
Thin handle

Dipstick 3
20mm low
41mm high
WARRANTY REQUIRES SE/101-C OIL
DOAE-6750
Ford Logo
Fat handle

Dipstick 4
27mm low
43mm high
USE ONLY SE OR SE ENGINE OIL CHECK OIL THIS SIDE UP
Fat handle
Possible aftermarket.

Best of fitting dipstock into the filler tube and measure from where the tube seats in the block to the oil marks on the stick. At least this would give a common length including the fillertube.

Filler tubes were identical.
