Dyno Results - Good, Bad or Otherwise

Just wondering about any other people's dyno results with their clevo's, their setups, times, etc to compare against what I should be doing next.

I currently have a 351, std stroke/grind balanced, .040" over pistons, 21700 Crow hydraulic cam, Redline Torker Manifold, tri-y's, 2V's, 750 holley, std electronic dizzy regraphed, street terra rollers, through a toploader.

To date I've run up 233.6rwkw on pump fuel and am looking for a bit more (not much left in this combo) so I'm open to options for more grunt.

ATM I'm looking at 4 into 1's and a good tune again.

What has everyone else ran up and what are the combos?

Re: Dyno Results - Good, Bad or Otherwise

Thats pretty good going HP wise TTNOS8, I wouldn't mind that kind of power for my car.
I've just swapped to a 351, but the engine pretty much dead stock.
It had a bottom end rebuild not to long a go and seems pretty strong.
All it has now is a set of tri-y's with a twin 2 inch system and a 465 holley (deliberately small for economy)

If its all right with you could you PM the details of your engine, you seem to have great power for seemingly limited mods. I'd be more than happy 200+rwkw.

No problems Simon.

PM Sent

The Place I had it dyno'd at (Hallam Performance) were reasonably impressed with the power considering its 2V, hydraulic cam and tri-y and I know it is a no bullshite figure.

But I need MORE......... >D

I would be happy with that result. It is definately on the high side.

What are the cam specs?

Re: Dyno Results - Good, Bad or Otherwise

Mine was running 226rwkw but was falling over on the dyno @ 5800rpm, springs were soft, plus had triple groove valves, thats why the top end is getting rebuilt atm, i am aiming for at least 270rwkw, i will post dyno chart in 3 weeks or so when its done.
TTNOS8 i believe you go to Hallam Performance as well, i rekon ask Mark and Andrew what your options are, i trust their judgment and are having them build the top end to whatever specs they say will work.

Re: Dyno Results - Good, Bad or Otherwise

I got 180 kw at herrods during the 2nd raid. Given my combo and reading I am more than happy with my et and trap speed. I really don't get too excited about dyno figures due to way too many variables. a 1/4 mile is a 1/4 mile no matter where.
COME bracketmaster 2Vs, YT rollers, CLS108 cam ( solid ), performer, 750 Vs and no name tri ys. ICE ignition.

I agree. 13.3 is very fast and suggests your car is making a LOT of power.

It's interesting that your similar combo made 100hp less than TTNOS8's. I'd put it down to dyno calibration myself.

XACOUPE: What are the CLS108 cam specs? What sort of work is done to bracketmasters?

TTNOS: What is your exact combo? Are the heads ported, comp ratio etc...

.

Re: Dyno Results - Good, Bad or Otherwise

cls108 is basically a crane f238 in specs.. bracketmasters are ported and have 4 v valves. Nothing really special
