Ebay - ARP Rod Bolts - engine rebuild

Has anyone brought anything from this guy ?

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....540284106&rd=1

Are these prices ok ?

Since I've found I have spin a bearing on my crank/rods have decided to go for a rebuild with good bits and pieces. if anyone has anything they think I could use at reasonable pricing please drop me a message.
I will be keeping the new crow hydro cam & lifters and YT Roller Rockers I fitted as these are all still like new.
thanks

The buy it now option is about $10-15 cheaper than standard retail. + $10 p/h and your're back up to $100 which you should be able to get at most performance shops.

If you're buying off ebay here's one of a few Oz online shops for price guides. I"ll get a few more for you later because VPW is a rip off anyway.

Along the lines of bolts, I'd also use a quality main stud kit (ARP or Milodon) for bottom end strength.

Mate, if you're doing another rebuild, I'd be going a stroker kit! A 408 cube monster would get your coupe swingin'

I prefer to use the "ebay motors" in the US for buying parts like bolts etc. Here's some for AU$47 + shipping. It all adds up when you're buying a few things. Some companies don't ship international but many others do.......just email them. There's so much cleveland stuff turning over each day, its great

Condsider buying these things from somewhere like Jegs.com or Summitracing.com

They are two US performance parts online warehouses that are awesome. You'd be lucky to find anything cheaper........only possibly on ebay.

I went to Summit Racing in the US. It's a huge warehouse bigger than a K-mart size shop with just performance parts. Rev-head disneyland.

I have bought parts from him to rebuild my engine, as far as i know his prices are very good, if you buy a few items from him he only charges you one price for postage if I remember correctly.

Ended up buying a couple of items, to see how it goes...Yes you only get charged postage on the most expensive 1st post then its all included at no extra cost.....does help cut the cost if you buy a few items...

I ended up buying a oil pump and balancer, postage was $11.95 which I thought was reasonable considering the weight.

Re: Ebay - ARP Rod Bolts - engine rebuild

Sometimes they are better prices even after u add in freight and insurance
BUT
If u r only saving round $10-$20 I reckon u should buy local cause from experience I ordered parts and they made the mistake but I had to pay for the registered post and insurance back to them and it ended up costing more than local prices

Freight from places like Summit and Jegs use DHL air freight so YES very expensive. UPs is slow boat and alot cheaper but can take up to 6-8 weeks.
