I wanna change my LTD over to a 4bbl, in order to do that I need to swap my intake with an aftermarket geddup' however, I can only find non-egr manifolds and my 400 has EGR; albeit the system is fubar'd anyways (diaphragm is messed up running a muck on the EGR plate and back of the manifold) I was wondering what is involved/risked, or even if it's feasable to put in an edel non-egr manifold for my block; Any ideas/suggestions are appreciated. now have you apparently EGR eliminates 'hot spots' from your pistons/walls but... like I said my setup ain't workin' anyways.
Nevermind, edel didn't list their 400 EGR version in my catalog- Can somone tell me if putting in the ford performer intake and a nice shiny 4bbl will be better than my stock mileage?
From my uneducated rough sloppy estimation I'm hoping for a 4mpg increase. (at 10-11mpg that's significant!)
