This is for an XD or XE electronic distributor. I am bypassing the MSD box to check if it is at fault. I need to reconnect the electronic module back into the distributor and need to know in which order the neg and positive wire from the coil, connects to the module. If someone has one of these dizzy's lying around, can u please have a look. thanks.

Thats interesting as that module looks like its from a Holden dizzy. Ford/aftermarket ones have the prongs on the side. I'll take a look @ mine but I don't think it's numbers like yours.
Probably does both, but i have had about 5 electronic distributors from XD's over the years, and all were exactly like this one. The module i am using is apparently the non pollution one i had fitting by Performance Ignition Sysyems in Melbourne, but looks the same without the white writing.
I wont forget the heatsink grease. .lol

Well, i finally fixed it. The "chopper" wheel on the shaft where the rotor cap goes had spun, making the rotor fire inbetween the plug leads on the dizzy cap, instead of at the lead. I had to keyway the wheel, and relocate it back on the shaft in the correct position and all is well.(The MSD was fine)

I think i may of had this problem with my distributor for some time. Even back to the steel head days, i used to fouled plugs pretty quick. Just to test drive the otherday after i fixed the ignition, i reused some old black looking plugs. Well, after a good beating on it, and also some city driving, i pulled the plugs, and they all now look new and white. I will have to retune now, as it may be running too lean.
