what does the 'K' mean in an engine number such as JG66ML32037K.I know what all the other numbers/letters mean but am stumped about the 'K'

I think it's short for "**** all", as in '''k'all". I've never found out, and don't lose much sleep over it.

The 'K' i believe is code fo V8, you'll notice all 6 cyl's have a 'C'.

Depends on the vehicle it came out of.

If it's from a XR then K = 289 - 4V
a XY then K = 351 - 2V

Not exactly - that's the engine code on the chassis plate - not the same as the K on the end of the VIN...

Correct. K designates a V8 engined chassis.
