Engine Serial No. Debarkle - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

I have a recently rebuilt cleveland in my XB hardtop and am trying to identify the serial no. however it seems to be mis-stamped as AL1JRS 33186k or something similar. I have contacted the ford information centre but they have been no help as all aussie Clevo's start with JG- is it possible that this is a yankee or canadian block? Any help is most welcome....

It sounds like an F100 number

Sure is. My 76 F100 has a very simular number. (AL1JRP******).

i got a clevo sitting on the workshop floor that i have just re ringed where the hell is the number ?

Just above the fuel pump or on the block in front of passanger side head.

well this one starts with jg i have one here in an f100 will report back when i pull it out on monday

Ford seem to have forgotten about the cars made in Brisbane with the prefix JH ??????
